Heh. I ate squirrel meat once when I was a kid on the farm. My parents were speculating about how good/edible squirrel would be, so my dad shot one and my mom cooked it. Roasted it, iirc. It was so tough we couldn't eat it, so she ground up the meat, mixed it with mayo and onion and sweet pickle relish and made squirrel salad for sandwiches. That treatment was a success.

I had squirrel at Grandma's house when I was a child. I think she breaded it and fried it like chicken. I don't remember not liking it, but it was a long time ago. (But, then, you could bread and fry Anything, and I would probably like it...)
